Check out the Rivco Bagger Budz. I use them on my '14 FLHTK. They add resistance to the pins when installing them, keep the washer on the pin, and the cable keeps the pin from falling to the bottom of the bag when removed. Easy install.

Not a bad idea, but I have no desire for feet on my bags.

Do they sell just the retainers?

Chip, you can do the same thing for the retainer's using wire and crimp wire terminals.. I am guessing something you have lying around the garage!

Guess unlatching them after leaving Gunners or the Broken Spoke isn't a good idea ................

I've never had a problem with mine but I bought the Allen head replacement kit on eBay for $15 as cheap insurance. Now I never have to worry one bit about the bags falling off because after a year I've never needed to re torque the Allen head ever. I've checked it several times and the thing hasn't budged one bit. I still visually check them before every ride...lol.. It's just to easy and cheap to not replace one pin on each bag to not do it... iMHO..

I didn't think of the o ring...

I never drop the pin in the bag, but it seems I always drop the washer. And my bags are full, so I'm a-diggin'-and-a-huntin' for it.
