I'll bet those day maker headlights helped too. They are the best I have ever had on a bike.

The Rushmore head lights SUCK. The stock headlights on my Goldwings lit the road up like I was in my car. The first night ride I did on my Limited had me asking my self wtf. On the showroom floor they look awsome, on the road they suck.

Excellent advise, I thought this was a rule of thumb for experience riders.

Did you have the dealer flash the bike to enable the passing lamps to be on with the high beam, they truly are day makers In the dark.

make sure the daymakers are adjusted correctly. Flash the passing lights to stay on. I also added Custom DYnamics Ringz that are white driving lights then turn amber when you hit the turn signals. They fill in the area close to the bike.

COurse, you couuld always go back to the Honda if it was so superior lol

Not wanting to get off the topic but I had the Daymaker Headlight on my bike, for about 6 months, 5 of which were winter and replaced it with a PL P7 because I was so disgusted with it. Looks impressive and is bright to other vehicles but I like to see the road, all of it not just a small narrow section of it.

IMO, they are dangerous.

before the driving light flash the headlight sucked. we were in SD last year the road was wet and black, it was the darkest Dark Iv everseen, my wife was on there with me, we were worried about wildlife and literally I would not ride over 25-30mph. With the flash it better but when your in a turn there's steel blindspots. I have not look very hard yet but probably going to get something better.

Good to hear you stopped in time to avoid an accident. But what in the hell does a woman sucking on a cigarette or not have to with it.

removing the debris would be the good thing to do but may not be the right and wise thing to do since there are people around who can really remove it anyhow.

i think if it was me, i would not have stopped. its just too dangerous. lots of sick of people out there. unless it's daylight.
Same here in s*#t hole NY, they'd set you up to stop and jump your *** when you did. My thinking is always better safe then sorry and one thing I've learned living here is street smarts! Sorry if that offends but in this jungle it's survival of the fittest AND smartest! And yes, it sucks to live like that...
