Format would be compatible. Are you actually putting the music files onto the USB stick? Or are you just putting the playlists (only) on the USB stick?
You don't have any security or backup software on the USB stick? Some USB sticks come with these type of utilities pre-installed & maybe they're not allowing the Infosys to read them?
Just throwing out questions because this just doesn't seem to make sense?

I'm making a playlist in ITunes then transferring it to usb stick.
You need to make sure you copy the actual music over to the USB stick.
How do I do this? I can stick the usb into a computer and it will play.
You can stick into the computer and play the songs because the playlist on the USB points to the songs on your computer. You can't drag, or export, a playlist from iTunes to a USB and make it work on your Boom system.
Try this:
Delete everything from the USB
Put 1 song on the USB, drag and drop a song from your computer
See if your bike can recognize the USB and play the song.

I must have really lucked out. Grabbed an old flash drive out of a drawer, downloaded all my songs from Itunes and it works great! Displays album art and all. Shuffle feature works, alphabetical by title works.
Same here and it made me feel pretty smart otherwise I would be really lost.
