Would like to see HD have 2 or 3 choices for seats when ya buy a bike---few Bike Companies are now starting to do that---

My seat sucks too, but there is a simple solution. Pull the staples from the plastic pan and fold back material. Use an electric steak knife and reshape the foam for your comfort. Pull the fabric back over and re staple with an electric stapler. Worked great on my 01 WG and works great on my 15 RG.

At first the seat on my Ultra was ok, but butt burn and sore after a few hundred.
I had a Pro Pad Tech Series from my Sportster and that fixed it.
900 miles in one day and felt fine on my 64 year old boney butt.
Plus the WO578 bars made it just right.

Shame on Harley for using such a bad seat!
That is funny, because this is the first Harley we have had that DIDN'T need a different seat.
It is perfect just the way it is.

Good job Harley

OP: Which version of the Ultra Limited do you have? There are two different models with two different seats.

First longish ride on my SGS, went about an hour and a half, went to get off the seat to hit the head and grab a cup of joe, and immediately decided "I need a different seat!" I couldn't stand upright and serious tailbone pain.

My last seat was a corbin, hard as a rock but felt like momma cupping my cheeks! Could ride all day on the DT.

Went out and bought a Mustang Wide with backrest and detachable backseat. It's good, but not as good as that Corbin was!

I've actually found my RK seat (which has less foam in it than those on the other touring bikes) pretty comfortable if I remember to remove my wallet from my back pocket.

You know what they say "There's an *** for every seat".

My 14 Stock Limited seat was just okay I guess, it was a nut crusher for me. Tried a Hammock from my dealer, and it was okay too, but another nut crusher. Bought a 14 CVO Limited Heated take off seat for $700.00, better, but I had to have it reworked for another $400.00, to make it lower, further back, memory foam, and a complete new cover had to be made, oh and a Mustang Backrest too. I'm finally comfortable after Khrome Werks Chrome 1 in. Narrow +2 Sweeper Bars, and the reworked CVO seat. I've done a few 250 to 350 miles rides and so far so good, but what an ordeal getting it there.

No matter what seat Harley puts on a bike it won't make every *** happy, but they have a 50/50 chance or so

Stock seat on the LTD is awful IMHO!
New hard as a rock but long mileage Corbin with a Tourpack, leather to my liking, heat with a New Backrest arrived this weekend but the storms are keeping me off the bike. I have decided the real culprit are the shocks. Corbin weighs in more than twice as heavy as the cheap fold in half harley seat. Should not have components that bad on a $30K bike.
Happy with everything but the shocks and the seat. Half way there.

I don't think I got 300 miles on my stock.

I heart Corbin.
