I too went with SafeyMans advice and bought the 7" LRS Elite for my SGS. I'm 5'10" and very little buffeting and can see over the top with no problems. Originaly bought the 4.5 Windsplitter, looked good and worked around town but once on the highway my head felt like it was being knocked around by Mike Tyson.

The "Ultra Elite" is made from the same grade polycarbonate used to make bullet proof windows, and has a "glass like" hardness on both sides for superior scratch resistance. It also only comes in one color - Dark Smoke

Did they change it? I ordered a 10" Ultra Elite in clear last fall
The Ultra Elite comes in all 3 tints. Clear, light and dark.

Bought me this HD-brand windshield yesterday at my dealership. Cost me only 120 bucks. It is 7", medium tint and really works great. Buffeting is almost completely gone. Only problem though, top edge is exactly at my eye level. Guess I need to get used to that.

Take a tape measure and measure from the center screw to the top of your current windshield and that will tell you what size to purchase. The current shield on my 2014 Ultra Classic measures a little over 10" so I purchased the 10" shield. Get it now while it's 60% off.

thanks for heads up on 60%. I got 2 now 9" wide medium tint works great with passengers really widens my air bubble can hear the radio and traffic all around alot better and now a 7" dark ultra elite at 60% off.
