All I want it to do is stay off in the morning so I don't wake my neighbors because it comes on even though it was shut down in the off position. Trust me, if your car was doing this you'd be at the dealer telling them to make it right - but were just suppose to eat it because that's just the way this bike rolls ? Bull****
mine does the same start the bike radio comes on work around is turn volume down before shutdown. Sorry but I have found no other soloution

Rather than turning it off, just turn the volume down prior to shutdown. Mine remembers where the volume was last. Is this a 4.3, or the 6.5?

Unfortunately there is no way to do what you want. The Boom Owners Manual indicates that when you turn off the system, by pressing and holding the Power Off button for three seconds, it only stays off until the bike is turned off for 30 seconds.
That is the way it was designed. There is no way for the dealer to "make it right".

BUuuuttt... It does return to the same volume that it was at previously. Sometimes you have to state the actual issue before someone can help provide a solution.

The way I understood his issue was: He wants the Infotainment system to stay off when the system reboots in the morning. It won't do that. Are there other ways to solve his blaring sound issue, yes.
The only issues I've had thus far are on the left multifunction switch. I had issues being able to adjust the volume on my fist road trip. I feared I had screwed up the wiring when installing the bars for 200 miles, then I got gas and everything worked again.
Yesterday I had an issue with it where it would not allow me to skip songs on my iPod. Again, stopped and got gas and it worked fine. I'm blaming it all on bad gas. It seems a fill up with new stuff fixes every problem.
I know what you mean this has happen to me a few times. I make sure ipod is on all songs not play lists etc. On infotainment unit make sure to check seek NOT presets I check the shuffle box to. If on presets it will not skip songs. What I am noticing is sometimes the ipod controls and other times the infotainment unit controls the ipod mine has mostly controlled the ipod.
I have noted that for no reason the setting on infotainment unit has a mind of its own. Im sure I am in the minority but I can deal with that now that I know how to and what setting to change to play ipod how I want. I like putting my ipod on all songs shuffle and I set my infotainment unit seek, shuffle and I do a lot of skipping songs to suit my mood. If I pod and infotainment is set the same I have no issues.

If there were a solution today, it may or may not work tomorrow. There's no fixing it from where I'm setting.

Actually, the same page of the manual says when turning on the motorcycle the radio resumes its previous state (on or off).
This is my only real complaint with the bike. It's not the end of the world, but seems like they should be able to at least get this part right. Following "the procedure", kill switch, blah, blah, is about 75%, but still doesn't always work right.
Lots of people here don't seem to care and have suggested all kinds of work-arounds, like turning the volume and brightness all the way down.
It seems so basic, but HD can't seem to get this right.
