The service department gave me the recall parts today. I told them i would replace one of the original spring locks on each bag with the new and improved ones. ( no new pins, but 4 new spring locks) but keep my bolt and fastener too.

Had the recall done today. Like A dummy I forgot to ask what the up grade was. Could you explain what the up grade was or if you could lay the old part next to the new so we could possible see the difference. I didn't see any difference in the locking pin itself.
Thanks Jonnierock

Did mine today as well. Less than 5 bucks. For once this forum hasn't cost me a small fortune. Thanks for the info guys. Bags seem a lot more secure.

Are your saddlebags lined? If they are, was it a kit you bought and who from, or did you just buy fabric and cut it to fit?
Thanks

Had dealer do the recall yesterday. I have 13k on my '14 Limited and never noticed a problem with the stock pins. Seems like a supplier issue on the '15 models brought this to light for MOCO, even though some have reported issues with bags for years. My pins always felt tight but I will say after the recall the new ones do seem tighter.

No pics, the recall is only the clips, the pins have not been changed. The diameter of the wire that the pin catches seems slightly larger. Also the wire is set back a little farther so that the pin has to extend deeper into the clip to catch it, making it a tighter more secure attachment.

I have bolts in the front positions and the new Dzus clips in the rear position of each bag.
