Default 2015 Ultra Classic Wind Buffeting Problems

I have put about 800 miles on the bike so far and loving it but the wind buffeting is beating me to death if I have to go over 65mph. The day I bought it, I knew already the stock windshield wasn't going to work for me. The wind buffeting was so bad I couldn't read the big green signs on the road after 60mph. I went to the dealership and bought the 12" screen. This brought the windshield right at eye level. Wasn't fun to look at the top edge of the scree, but it helped the wind buffeting to where I could read the signs though I needed to be a little closer to see them as there is still some vibration. I bought a 11" LRS ultra windshield and it basically gave me the performance of the 12" without having to look through the top edge of the screen. I used their instructions to determine that 11" would bring the top edge to upper lip level. It still hasn't solved the high speed buffeting problem though. Still vibrates enough that reading signs is a problem. At night its about impossible. I wear a full face Shoei RF1200. I have the batwing deflectors closed and I have tried adjusting them to every position with no noticeable effect. I have also tried the lower vents both opened and closed with no noticeable difference.

Long winded here...sorry. Am I still needing to chase windshields or will the ugly fangs solve my problem? Or do I need to go the opposite direction and go with a shorter screen?

Thanks.

Like you, I think I need the fangs. I like the HD ones, but they need to be modified for our bikes. The other brand looks home brewed, not the look for me.
I have also noticed, the buffeting is different for the 4 helmets I have in rotation. The smooth, no vent Bell 500 is the least buffeting. My Shoei with vents is one of the worst. I believe the full faces were designed to be ridden in a much more tilted down sport bike position.

I used the 9" Ceedevil from CeeBaileys, took care of the buffeting for me and I can see over it easily. I am 6'-1" tall. When installed it sits about 1/2" lower than stock but the recurve puts the turbulent air over your head. I've tested it over 80 mph.

I don't know how a shorter recurve could help. I am using an 11" recurve right now. Plus I have had bad experience using acrylic screens and prefer polycarbonate.

Is the vent open? That fills the pocket created by the windshield and fairing up with air.

Yes the vent is open and makes a pretty big difference I will say.

I noticed a LOT of buffeting on the Limited I rented several months ago, but on the one I just bought, there's hardly any buffeting at all. The vent was open on both and both were/are factory stock.

Really weird!

Did the one you rented have a different shield? That is strange.

On another note. This morning I threw on the chin skirt around the bottom of the helmet and noticed a slight improvement. Still not gone but I could feel a difference.

I think the fangs are the only option left, I get shaky glasses at higher speeds, have the windshield bag's, sometimes it sucks the stuff out of the center bag, like cig's, when opening bag at speed, i had a 10 lrs, bought an 11 lrs, didn't solve it. Let me know how it works for ya, i'm just living with it for now, It is a motorcycle, but fangs may be nice on longer trips,
