I looked at a CVO Streetglide in Great Falls, MT last week at the dealer. Loved the bike but the lowers...not so much. I asked the dealer if there was a kit or any mods available that would allow for removal of the lowers/cooling. He said that I could just drain the coolant and run it. I asked where he got this info and he said from the MOCO. Walked out shaking my head. Anything to sell a bike I guess. If I hadn't been visiting I would have asked him to get me something in writing that agreed with and warrantied his claim. Amazing. EW
""Interestingly, Harley-Davidson also told us that the Twin-Cooled would run reasonably happily without the cooling system if a radiator was to get damaged and the coolant start to leak. However, it wouldn’t recommend a rider travel long distances without getting it fixed."
if you wanted a $35000 bagger w/a bigger engine but didn't want the lowers, why not just get an Ultra & have the dealer preinstall a 120 ?
probably cost less $ ........... & you'd have a badder-assed motorcycle
the compression on the engine is higher than the non liquid cooled Harley's meaning that its designed to run hotter and uses cooling to make the heat manageable. I was wondering too, this really can't be a legitimate question can it?

Or get a Turbo for your 103. I saw a few of those in Sturgis, and I did like the sound.
