I went from a 2002 VTX1800 to a Heritage from there to a 14 limited CVO. Get the Limited. The wet head is the chit. Very comfortable and your wife will love it. Also has more room on back.
The CVO has a faster motor. The 2014 has a better everything else. What is most important to you? I have gotten stuck in huge traffic jams twice this year. Love the new wet heads, my old Ultra could never have sat in that jam and stayed running.
14 limited hands down. You may be able to get a brand new 15 for close to the same money if you're a good negotiator. Even though I love Red Rock HD, check out Henderson Harley for the best deals. Red Rock, Las Vegas and Zion HD are all owned by the same people. They have their fingers in Henderson HD too, but don't completely control it from what I understand.
