So I was fiddling with my bike this afternoon, resetting the pin number. Honestly can't think of anything else I touched. Just left my house and as I pulled up to a few stop signs I noticed is idling high. Between 1500 & 2000.
If you shut the bike down with your hand on the throttle, the bike will relearn the new position as the correct idle. you have to reset it by clearing it out of the memory. you can do this by cycling the ignition on and off without starting 3 times.

I never had the issue but has happened in our group and turning off the bike from dash ignition cured it and I always have habit hand off the throttle and use right hand to turn off the dash ignition never used handle bar on/off switch.

Not doubting you one bit but I'm interested where you learned this.
My wife, Kim had the same problem on her bike, (2015 Limited) this summer. We were in BC Canada no cell service and 5 hrs. to the nearest dealer. I tried what thought might help: unplugged the TCA, main fuse, reloaded the PV2 map and it still ran fast. I then took the air cleaner off to check for any gunk in the induction module, bike had 3,000 miles on it. Everything looked really clean, I reached in and felt the throttle plate and it didn't move, started it with AC off and it idled at 1,000 rpm and has since. I can't recall if I may have turned the bike on and off three times but I may have.
I even called the HD Tech line and spoke to my local guy and everyone says that is a strange one
Thanks
Bill
The high idle by turning off the bike with the throttle rolled thing... That was an issue on the early 08 bikes that was fixed by an ECM update and should be fixed on all bikes since... but do try the reset procedure anyway and report back... interesting.
