Thumbs up Really nice ride today!

I took the '15 Limited on a nice, leisurely, 400 mile, 10 hr. ride today through the Colorado Rockies west of Boulder. Boulder to Golden, then west on 285 to Fairplay, north up Hwy 9 N to 14 E thru the Poudre River Wilderness Area and then back home on the county roads. Temps in the mountains was 70-75 degrees all the time I was up there, about 82 once I came back down to Boulder.

Lots of bikes on the road today, about 85-90% H-D's. I think Harley has the Colorado market locked up tight.

The Aspens are already starting to turn gold above 9500 ft. or so. If you're in Colorado, you might start planning a trip thru the mountains about two weeks from now. IMHO, they should be even more beautiful about then.

The bike performed flawlessly and the engine is getting mechanically-quieter as the miles add up for some reason. I don't know if that's normal, but I like it!!

This is the most comfortable vehicle (including four-wheeled ones) I've ever owned. I could turn around and do the trip again right now, but I wouldn't get home till 6:00 AM tomorrow morning and I have to go to work at 9:00. Plus, there's no way in hell I'd ride the curvy, switchback-riddled roads that I rode today at night with that POS headlight!

All things considered, I wouldn't change any of the ergos on the bike - they don't need it, for me anyway. If the MOCO ever designs a headlight that actually works on curvy roads at night, that's the only additional thing I'll feel inclined to change on the bike. I love it just the way it is, other than that.

Y'all ride safe,

JP

It's nice to have a backyard like that.

It's an HD Life! The fellas and I took a 250 mile round-trip run for lunch on Tuesday. It was a beautiful ride through the Catskill Mountains. We made beautiful music that echoed through the hills. By the way I ride a 15 Limited also.
