Hey guys, is there anything else I need to do to make the intercom work other than select intercom on in the radio? My wife could hear me, but I could not hear her. Does she need to press anything on the tourpak?
Its the volume, she does not need to press anything for intercom use just for cb.
Here is the steps to adjust the volume.
Both of you get hooked up and you start speaking to her without stopping and as you are speaking have her push up on her volume control, you will see it on the screen, and then have her speak to you and you adjust your volume.
wojo is right! Is the same way if you want her to hear the the cb or phone. Get some to talk on the cb or phone and adjust her volume till she can hear it. Same for the nav also.
No the volume is up, she can hear me but I can not hear her & I have my volume up & can hear the music at a lower volume in my headset. Maybe I need to turn the music out of the headset & to the speakers? When I run by myself I have the music going through the headset with no problems.
Is the INT icon turning to white when she talks indicating that the microphone is active? Does she have the mike close to her mouth? You don't have to change your music to the speakers. Your music will automatically drop the music volume so you can hear the intercom. As stated make sure that your intercom volume is up. Good luck.
I didn't notice the "int" icon changing to white, but do notice the music volume decrease in the headset when the intercom setting is active. I'm wondering if her microphone is not long enough as it does not seem like I am missing any steps. I'll do some more testing when I get my bike back from the shop.
I was experiencing the same issue after an update and had to reset the INT settings. Obviously easier while not moving. Set the sensitivity to mid way. As stated above, have her talk without stopping while you increase the volume via left toggle switch and verify the INT icon lights up. If it does not light up, increase the sensitivity a couple bars and keep trying.

Jthe radio volume and the intercom volume are different and require separate adjustment.
Also the VOX ( voice activated transmitted) requires separate adjustment.
It's a PIA to get right but once you do you should have to do it again.
