I cleaned them up and filled them with black RTV silicone

I just sprayed the holes black.....

Chrome button head hex bolt from Ace Hardware. I that that on mine and it looks good for about $5.

***JUST NOTICED THE 4 OTHER POST ABOUT ACE HARDWARE.....HERE IS A PIC***

I just cleaned them up and put a little gloss black enamel model car paint in there and you can't even see them.

Just make sure you treat the corrosion that is already in them and then use a corrosion preventative prior to installing whatever you use....

That looks good, what size/thread are they?

3/8ths .............. Local hardware has a great chrome selection and he even has neat chrome bolt covers. 3/8ths chrome allen heads or find bolt covers. i used flames for my Limited and skulls for the SGS ............. They make the covers for hex head or allen ............

BTW ..... those holes are a great place to put a 3/8" eyebolt for tie downs when hauling the bike!

I don't remember, got the size from the dealer. I just asked what size the bolts for the foot pegs were. You could also take a bolt with you and have them match it up.
