3/8ths .............. Local hardware has a great chrome selection and he even has neat chrome bolt covers. 3/8ths chrome allen heads or find bolt covers. i used flames for my Limited and skulls for the SGS ............. They make the covers for hex head or allen ............
BTW ..... those holes are a great place to put a 3/8" eyebolt for tie downs when hauling the bike!

I don't remember, got the size from the dealer. I just asked what size the bolts for the foot pegs were. You could also take a bolt with you and have them match it up.
