Paint? Yes.... well, maybe.

Decal? No.

Unless the WHOLE bike is wrapped, (seen it once), vinyl looks cheap to me.
I always smile and shake my head.

Properly airbrushed and clear coated isn't horrible, but I see a lot of eagles on fairings, looks cheesy, cheap and gaudy to me, to borrow Dave's thoughts.

But these are merely my opinions and to each his own, it's yours, and if you like it, do it.

Personalizing makes it yours.

I've got a CVO and while the paint is a little over the top, I really like it, flames, hard candy paint, plenty of chrome.

The first thing you could consider is putting the Trim covers on the passing lights, it gives it a touch of nostalgia and it really grew on me and i think you would like it.

You have a great color combination on your bike, one that is not very common.

I would give it a little more time and consider some smaller well placed, personalized paint pin stripping, something a little different than you ordinarily see.

I wouldn't do the big decal.

I like the tag for the trunk, but i'd rather it be painted "Comic Sans" type font.

I am including two pics of my bike only to show you the passing light chrome trim and turn signal trim.

Stop by the dealers next event, normally a good turn out of bikes that have been striped etc.

Good luck making your decision.

In the end, its yours, you paid for it, if you like it go for it.

Default I'm finding the comments valuable. Thanks.

CVO ... They look very well done from the factory. IMO they don't really need anything more to make them stand out.

Left on there for any length of time, it will leave evidence behind even if all the residue is removed - the paint will change around it but not under it.

I know someone who went with stickers on their bike, rather than custom paint. You can tell they are stickers when you walk up to the bike because the edges stick up and are not flush with the rest of the surface like paint would be. Just looks cheap to me.

I've seen vinyl jobs that look better than paint.
Plus you could hide the edge on the fairing pinstripe.

Do the "Fly like an Eagle" script in the same Font, size font, and color as the H-D script that would be right below it.

I say go for it.

Check out Mark Brodie pin striping. He pinstriped my tour pack to match the rest of the bike. He guestimated $500-$600 to do the whole bike. He travels around to different dealers and does the work on site.

It's your bike but my opinion is that the large graphics are a bit much. Personally I would look into some custom pin striping with multiple colors to compliment what you already have. Some of the scrolling style striping may look good instead of the old school hot rod or Von Dutch style since the bike has softer lines now. I like the wording on the back but that would also look great done as pin striping.

My wife really wanted the graphic (the bike is titled to her because I'm retired .... should have had her co-sign instead, for other reasons) and I wanted the tag.

Cost was very affordable. It would have been about $100 including the install if the Eagle graphic hadn't needed to be processed with the trimming in white instead of a blacked out background in the original.

Giving thoughts to having a couple more decals of this one of a kind graphic made for the Van rear window and the trailer. Even considering having matching t-shirts made now that the original Eagle (on black background) has been "touched up" to go with any other color desired.

They are removable and may cause some paint issue if taken off, mostly shading effects of sunlight and shadow that should be able to be buffed to address this ... IF they are ever taken off.

I like the aggressive looking Eagle and the size of the graphic doesn't seem gaudy to me. I like the meaning of the tag too.

Whenever I "Fly" by someone I'm passing I think the tag on the tour pack leaves a subtle impression.

BTW Thanks again for all the comments.
