not sure where to set it. My thought is its on the bike for protection from overheating, so why no use it.
What are the draw backs to turning it on an leaving it on. Never had a bike with It, the closest thing I had was on my 06, but it was engaged all the time. Slowed the idle down first then shut down the rear cylender.
It's a rider comfort feature. On a non wet head bike if it is engaged it shuts down the rear cylinder when ambient air temp is 80 or higer.
Its an attempt to remove heat from your leg or passenger foot. When you roll the throttle the rear comes back on. No harm in leaving it on all the time if that's what you want since it only engages at 80+
I have mine disengaged so it wont go nuts at stop lights. As a precaution to running too hot I added the Wards Fans instead and am very happy with their performance
