My bike since new hesitates briefly before turning over. Anyone know why? I've heard other hogs sound the same way with that slight hesitation before turning over.
I was guessing it was the ACR which is electronically controlled.
My 2015 Limited has a slight hesitation/drag when starting as well. Its never failed to start, so I'm guessing its the nature of the beast. I keep the bike on a battery tender, so the battery stays fresh and cycled, so I know its not the lack of battery power that creates the hesitation. I purchased the bike new, and its done this from day one. I'd say no worries. "Stay Calm and Ride On".
my '14 ultra has done it since new.....my first Harley so I never gave it a second thought, just figured they all do that. never failed to start though.
My '15 Limited Low does it, my '91 Evo Softail did it. I suspect it's because on the first compression stoke the rotating mass has no momentum to overcome the compression, even with a release. Once it gets past that initial pump it gets a running start on the next cycle.
I think.
Maybe
