So what would you have the factory change on your stock Harley?
Your suggestions:
1.) Enable "Blue Tooth" wireless headset connectivity. The bike is already B/T capable so this may just be a software update.
2.) Move the cat converter from the head-pipe to the slip-on mufflers. This would help alleviate the high temperature source from the riders legs.
3.) Have a more traditional Harley sound from the stock exhaust system.
4.) Upgrade the suspension.
5.) Reduce the bike's weight.
6.) Increase the horsepower.
7.) Full water cooling.
8.) Change PTT sw to a trigger sw like the odometer sw on the left grip.
9.) Add 90* valve stems to all bikes.
10.) Add tire pressure sensing and display on infotainment system.
11.) Improve ease of neutral selection. ( Transmission fluid change?)
12.) Adjustable fore and aft tourpak for different size passengers.
13.) Improve headlight beam to cover greater distances and radius in the corners.
14.) Improve readability of speedo and tach during daylight. Redline more clearly defined.
15.) Upgrade navigation to Garmin quality.
16.) Plug in receptacles for batt charger and heated gear. No loose pig tail. Control heat from infotainment system.
17.) Add a height adjustable seat for short, medium, and tall riders.
Some good suspension on both ends. Instead of me shelling out another $2500 to fix the problem on a premium motorcycle.
How about some Power as these thing have 0 ummph almost anywhere except the first 30 yards. If they went half as fast as some of the noise they make they would be record setters. Other than that I love the damn thing a ton. One of the coolest bikes I've ever owned
I agree with the blue tooth upgrade request made by others. IMHO, the number one upgrade that is needed is to upgrade the front and rear suspension. Harley has upgraded the frame and front end size around a suspension system from the 80's?. I recently had a quality front end monotube system installed along with quality rear shocks. It transformed the bike.
There is a way to move the Cat back. It's called the Screamin Eagle HiFlo exhaust. I had one installed on my bike before taking delivery. And although it is a little too quiet for my taste I've never experienced the heat issue because of this. I knew before hand where the cat is located in the stock head pipe and was aware of the problem that comes with that so I decided to rectify it right away.
