Default Daymaker Adapter Harness Question

I just received the Daymaker LED projector headlamp and the 69200897 adapter harness for a 2014 Road King (US model). I haven't started the install, but right off the bat I have a question. The adapter harness directions start off with 1) cut the OEM harness connectors off.... Then later a bunch of splicing....

Is this right? I thought the whole point of tha adapter was to directly connect to the OEM harness.

Thanks,
Bob

I just installed one of these on a 2016 SGS.....No splicing needed when using the adapter. Rich

Bob, you're absolutely right. The Road King is the only one you have to cut and splice. I refused to do it. I used a Trucklite. This would work for you if you could get one other adapter.

Can you post a link to where this can be ordered, just did some Googling and couldn't find it.

Thanks so much, headlight assemble is off and I don't want to be splicing in there.

Thanks,
Blb
