I use the short angled and have them mounted like RollaMo on both bikes. Heels on the footboard and ***** on the peg ................ it doesn't get better than that along with the apes that compliment them! It's a phenomenal riding posture IMO!

I just put the short angled mounts on my new RK. As mentioned by Beaux, they are perfect for the heal on the floorboard and ***** of the feet on the pegs, or put the whole foot on the pegs. I also had the same setup on my '05 Ultra.
Can't really go wrong with the aftermarket fairing factory lowers. They are are about half the price of factory and since you have a vivid black they come painted in that color. If you don't like them you can sell them and maybe lose $100-150...you'll lose twice that buying factory.
I have the 13 back version and the paint isn't quite HD quality but again they also aren't anywhere near $900...well worth the price.
I believe the 14+ version come with door flaps and the speaker mounts if you decide to go that direction.
My wife and I are both tall so I used the 360° mounts on both our bikes. They're not as pretty as the other HD mounts, but give you a much better range of positions. http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...-peg-mount-kit
Thanks for all the feedback on the pegs. I ordered the short angle black since I'm contiplating a lower fairing.
I also don't want to be stuck with one position or fixed although they look better without the fairing.
These seem to be very popular if I don't like them or want to switch to fixed style, I can sell them with out a great loss.
I'll wait the winter out for the lowers. Maybe I can find a used set. Even if I don't like them I can use them for the cold months.
Thanks.
