I recently installed the detachable tour pack kit on my 2014 Ultra limited. After installing the license plate bracket that was included with a kit, I tried to put on a luggage rack on the detach posts. I found out with the license plate bracket above the light, I cannot install a luggage rack. Did anyone install a license plate bracket that goes below the tail light? If so, which lay down lens/license bracket did you use? I see that Drag Specialties has the lay down light with bottom lens, but I have yet to find a decent license plate bracket that looks like a factory install.
I removed to the marker light and made mine with two different pieces. It's mounted through the same holes as the marker light was. It was a lot of messing around however it turned out great. It sits 1/4 off the fender and rubber washer against the fender . PM me if n3eded
I contemplated making my own for a while, then just went with the Native Customs mount. It was a little pricey, but I am a lot happier with it than I thought I would be. I was not too sure about having it mounted to the side but now I really like it.
