I looked in my manual and could not find what size the screws are that screw into the side posts on the battery of a 14 SGS. I'm not near my bike or else I would just pull one out and measure it. I want to buy some conversion brackets to make it both a side mount and a small height top mount for hooking up accessories. I found exactly what I need online but it shows an M6 metric bolt and don't know if that will work or if it's a smaller size than that. Anyone have a clue, I would really appreciate any help.
10mm. One of the only three metric size screws/bolts on my 06'
Their isn't enough room under the seat for top post accessories. Last battery I bought only had top post capabilities and I had issues the whole time it was installed. Mostly loosening, but I also kept a small piece of sheet rubber between the battery and seat for protection.
