Just check out Craigslist often. I found a great jack, you might get lucky and find a J&S jack , built like a tank !!! I have had 2 fingers cut off working , and reattached , and other Major work done on my body. It's your life . Heck you might get a pit bull jack . Could even scarf up a table jack cheep . Just go on Handy industries on U-Tube you will see what every one is talking about . It's your $25,000 + . Bike not mine.

I do not have this stand, just saw it on FB.

Why do you need a stand if you have a jack with wheels? Can you get most the jacks in between the stand so you can get the bike of the stand?

With the stand on wheels you get rid of the bulky lift that hangs out on one side. The stand fits around the lift allowing you to remove the lift once lowered onto the stand.

I agree with you, I really like mine, but to keep your comment on the level, my J&S jack is all made out of 1/4" steel.....frame and safety catches. Plus if used correctly, your safetys should be catching at each position as it goes higher so it doesn't drop the bike from full heights in case of bottle jack failure. Which leads to next thing, is the J&S bottle jack any better than the ones used on HF or Craftsman jacks?

I've toyed with the idea of making 2 legs that attach to the upper support frame that drop down when the bike is fully raised that will catch on the lower frame if lowered just a tad, taking the weight off the safety catches (lot of leverage going on right there)

It will work, until it doesn't. You just have to figure out when ....

I cut 2 rail road ties to size and screw a 2by6 to the bottom then notched a grove into the top, doing that would let me wedge the blocks under the engine guard. I have the Rg ultra now with lowers it wont work. Dream something up maybe under the floor boards.

I've had a Craftsman for years and it was more than enough for the chopper. But when I put the Softie up on it I thought the extra weight was going to crush it! Very wobbly.

Today I got a line on a J&S for cheap. I hope I can get there before it gets snapped up.
