OK, I installed the Radio Shack siren on my 16 Limited and it works fine. But i'm having trouble setting it to chirpless mode.
The book says 1. Turn on the ignition w/ fob present. 2. When security lamp turns off turn ignition off. 3. When security lamp turns off but before the turn signals flash 2 times turn the ignition on & do this 2 times.
I think No.3 is where I'm having trouble, as soon as my security lamp goes off the flashers are flashing.
Is there something I'm missing. It seems like a simple enough procedure. Could it be because it's not the Harley siren?
I was never able to put the radio shack siren in the chirp less mode. Finally bought the HD siren and had no problems putting it in the chirp less mode according to the directions. Got tired of the dog going crazy every time I got on the bike.
