I will dump the Syn 3 and run some Formula + on Saturday. Hard to believe an oil type would be causing this but I will give it a go. Thanks for the suggestions guys!

I go and pickup the bike today and yet another "Doesn't make sense" moment. Check the notes from the tech and I see that they did in fact update the ECM with a new map. however they marked the records that they checked the trans fluid and have a notation "NON HARLEY TRANS FLUID" now I can understand if I had the Red Line shockproof that looks like pepto pink. But it has Syn 3 from the 1000 service that they did, WTF. I will be in there tomorrow morning to ask just HTF they can determine that the trans fluid is "NON HARLEY"? Now I am worried that if there is a failure they will deny warranty due to this "NON HARLEY" fluid notation!

Primary chain is about to self adjust. Make some sudden rear brake stops and it should adjust to the next click. Mine was real bad then adjusted itself and has been fine ever since. Harley also has a bulletin on a noise in neutral (pull in the clutch or rev it and it goes away)in the trans that says the noise is normal.

Interesting, being as the tensioner is "self adjusting" and unlike the older bikes, cant be adjusted per se. Heck, try different fluid first, as thats the cheap fix. I know plenty of people have opted to replace the stock tensioner with an after market unit that is metal and is adjustable. I believe Baker makes one.

Got my bike home today - put SYN 3 is 2 holes and formula in the primary - seems to sound a lot better. Bike was idling at both the dealership and at home in the garage - did not sound like it wanted to cut off.
Will hopefully have some nice days coming up and an opportunity to ride and better determine if this makes a difference.
