Drafting Should Help Mileage !!! LOL 40 years ago But i would not put my life on it anymore I Got older & Smarter !!! And would not recommend it. I have never thought of Running that fast anymore. 70 is my Limit , and not for that long and only where it is Safe to do that , Life is to Short, and want to Live To Ride Another Day !!!
Good luck on your mileage Guesstimate .

Check my signature, changes made day one. If I ride like a "sane" person I get over 40mpg, easy. But I don't, I ride it like I stole it and my average fuel mileage since day one is 33.7 mpg. I am 6'6" and weigh about 300 lbs. So it's literally hauling some ***. Anything over 75 mph and my fuel mileage goes to hell. If I wanted fuel mileage I would have bought a Prius! Ride it, enjoy it, get gas when ya' need it and quit worrying about the petty things.

I know I've been hearing that for years here in Colorado (the "winter blend gives poor mileage" part).

Don't know if it's true or not. I never notice any real difference summer or winter in my car.

My factory-stock '15 Limited gets a consistent 47+ mpg regardless of the season. I ride it pretty conservatively, though.

I live in Tonopah and run the 10 all the time and like you I am at 80mph as a rule my mileage with a stage one is about 35 mpg, not crazy about that low but I like the way the bike runs so I will put up with the mileage.

In SD we run 85 all the time on the interstate. I still get 40mpg.

Filled it on the jiffy this morning, went 250 today and was on fumes coming home. DTE registered "LOW RNGE". That is about as far a I want to push my luck. Ran 60 to 70 with a few sprints to 80. Mostly 5k' and above all day...

That is because both of these bikes are running a dangerously lean AFR.
