Found myself with a little time between jobs so I took a little time to ride. Not wanting to burn up my week off riding across Nevada I bought an airline ticket for the wife and I and left the Roadglide home. We flew into Missoula Montana and rented a new Roadglide Ultra with a 110 and took off for Red Lodge. We passed thru Anaconda, Nevada City and Virginia City along the way and stayed the night in Red Lodge. Great little ski town with lots of shopping for my little lady. We rode Beartooth Pass the next day and had a ball. Amazing ride!! We rode thru a corner of Yellowstone and ended up in Lewiston where we spent the night. The next day we headed for Glacier via Great Falls. We ran into one hell of a wind storm and wet roads that really slowed us down but still made Browning by late afternoon. We road over "Going To The Sun" Logan Pass the next day and landed in Whitefish. What an amazing area. Rode back to Missoula the next day and flew home today. Montana has to be the most beautiful place on earth and made for seeing sitting on a touring bike.
Hey we might have passed each other. I'm on my way back down from Beartooth. The wind was kicking yesterday when I crossed it. Ended up going from OKC to Idaho Springs, CO up to Yellowstone, then stayed at the Pollard in Red Lodge, over to Mt Rushmore and now back to OKC via Nebraska.Attachment 476844
No, it was not a CVO. Grizzly Harley stuffed a new 110 in themselves. They also blacked out the forks and put on Screaming Eagle slip ons. Charged a little more for it but I liked having the extra power on a stocker. It did run really hot but it was their motor, not mine.

Interesting. I didn't think they would rent out a CVO so I assumed it was something they did.
Sounds like a great trip. I leave in 28 days CLE -> Denver -> Jacksonhole -> Cody -> Red Lodge -> Glacier NP -> Banff.
