The "Factory Heated Grips" that come on the Limited are plug-n-play, Controller side (left) will be run inside the left bar, there will be a plug under the fairing for it, right side will plug into the end of the twist grip sensor via 2 prongs in the grip itself, the wiring is already in place inside the bars on the right side.

Not 100% sure, but I thought they were.

I wish I had taking more pictures when I installed my bars. There is a loose wire inside the handle bar that that connects to nothing. I can't remember which side it was on. I'm thinking that is the wire for the hand grip. Anyone know?

Take a look at this, it shows the grips and wiring for a Limited, you may need the Harness Jumper wire assembly.

If you buy the stock grips for a Limited, all the wires run inside the bars. I just put them on my Limited Low a while back, the plugs are already there for them inside the fairing.

Don't buy the BS about the all rubber OEM vs the pretty grips, I bought the internally wired OEM plain rubber set up for my '13 FLHX and they were not any better than the airflow accessory grips I installed on my '16 FLTRU

Option 1

Buy the HD accesory heated grips the right side on the Rushmore is already connected there is a plug in your gauge cluster that plugs i9nto the crossover.

With those grips you will need an accessory wiring harness kit as well, the left side grip wiring runs externally on the bars, to the dash cluster then down the back bone to the accessory harness that mounts to the fuse panel.

Option 2

Buy the OEM ultra limited heated rubber grips, or the prettier OEM CVO Ultra grips. These use the existing wiring hole under the left side switch pack to run down to the OEM connector in your cluster on the on the FLT or in the fairing of the FLH bikes. No additional accessory harness needed and no need to run the wires down the backbone.

Option 1 will run you under 300 if you do the work yourself.
Option 2 will run you around 550 if you do the work yourself

Well I'm here to tell you the plain Limited grips are far better than the CVO "pretty" grips.
I had a 2014 Limited the grips kicked *** on 2 heat range, and the CVO had to be on 6 to get the same heat. I now have a 2016 CVO RGU. So I'm here to tell you the BS IS true...

Thanks guys, I'm going with the rubber limited grips. I have always run the stock grips on all my bikes anyway. I get a funny look when I order the stock grips to replace my old ones. Except on an old Fatboy I had years ago. I used the leather grips that I really liked. Unfortunately they stop making those years ago.
