I have had the saddlebag lights for over a year now with no problems. The dealer fitted them as I don't trust myself wrenching on my bike. The connectors behind the saddlebags work well.
I have them also, no problems at all. They are nice and bright, especially matched with a BAL. I had them before I did the quick disconnect TP for as much rear light as possible.
No issues with the plugs, just remember them when removing the bags. Take the time and route the wire and attach it to the rear wall of the bags. I zip tied to connectors to the rear shocks to keep them in one place, easier to remove, and off the paint.

Have the CD fillerz's - been thinking of the Electra Glo Saddle Bag lights - did a search - found several posts talking about 'connector behind the saddle bag, problems' So, now in latter part of 2016 - has HD fixed that or has anyone had any issues with the connector or comments on the saddle bag lights. For me I can never have too much light in the rear, lol
One of mine became intermittent shortly after I installed about 2 years ago. Spread a little dielectric grease in the connector and haven't had a problem since.
Not a fan of the look. But I am a fan of how bright. Was going to go with the led spoilers. But they're worthless as far as visibility. So I'll likely end up with these. Color matched with smoke lenses.
They should come stock, imo. I've been rear-ended too many times over the years...never on a bike, thankfully. The taillights on my RGS were barely noticeable with the stock bulbs. Even with the inherent risk that comes with riding a motorcycle, I guess that I see it more from a safety perspective. Added these, replaced everything with leds, custom dynamics strobe module. Night and day difference now as compared to stock. Hopefully it helps reduce the odds of me taking 2-tons of moving vehicle up the rear.
Love mine and no issues. I have unplugged/plugged them dozens of times without issue. One thing I kind of don't like about them is they are extremely bright. Night time its lit up like a Christmas tree, a bit much.
Word of advice for installing, it is 3M tape so once its on the paint its there. Make sure the lids are down and locked. I layed a popsicle stick on top of the light, that way I had just a small gap between the light and lid to assure no binding.
