Regarding AVC for speakers vs headset ............. I see nothing in the BOOM manual that says AVC only applies to speakers.

Am I not looking in the correct section of the manual ?

Or did AVC once work for headsets, but eventually got dropped via a software update ?

As far as I know AVC never worked for the headphones, only the speakers. Don't remember on my '06 but definitely never on my '14.

I just have to say, this update is the best so far. I think as for future updates if it doesn't add new features I may just leave it alone. Very happy.

Why? Another thing that's always mentioned when updates come out is the side tone on the CB. Nobody's asked that one yet.
No, but I can now hear myself on the intercom. I couldn't before the last update.

I thinking my 15 did when I first bought it. But that was last year, I sometimes can't remember last week.

Agreed. I haven't experienced the AVS work properly since I picked my 16 RGU up in April. Surprised me how well it worked on a ride Sunday.
