There are only 3 US manufacturers of lead acid batteries. About the same number for gel filled. You can pay a premium for a label that the factory changes during the production run, or you can get a high CCA battery with the lowest price tag and use your savings for better beer. Quality tender is a must to get best life span from the battery.

Yuasa, use it, abuse it, forget the tender, throw it away in five years and get a new one. You will never get stuck or throw it away in 4 years, makes no difference, most people dont keep a bike for more then one battery change and if so, 2 batteries over an extra 8 to 10 years is cheap. Sure they will last longer but its the cheapest ins you will ever buy.

BTW - we use Yuasa in the security system industry, its the standard by which all others are judged. Yes, they make off brand labels too, have no idea which ones.

Are you serious in the statement that most people don't keep bikes for more than one battery change? I paid 21k cash not financed money for my bike. At my age i'll be dead before i i buy another Harley. I expect 3-5 years out of a MC battery using a tender during winter off riding season.

Just put one of these in. She cranks nicely now. 500cca vs. 400 stock.

This is my plan for next Spring, I have 11,000 miles now but a new battery is good insurance and saves the charging system and starter from damage when using a low battery.

If you have an oreilly auto parts you can get the battery from them it is the same as a harley battery and full 1 year free replacement warranty made by east penn. If your a veteran i think its somewhere around $115.
