Default 16 Ultra Limited handlebar upgrade...

After sifting through 10 pages of threads and not finding what I'm looking for I think I should just ask...

Lookin at upgrading to the:

14" Bagger Twin Peaks Ape Hangers - 1.25" Chrome

Part Number: LA-7361-14

What parts will I need? Brake/Clutch lines? Extension wires? I've got HD heated grips... Can I extend the wires for them? I've been told several different things and would really like someone that has actually done it to set me straight.

Thanks in advance!

I want to do the same thing on my '16 Ultra.
A buddy of mine told me today that 14-17 Ultras come with extra cables already attached so no extension kit is supposed to be needed. But I don't know that for a fact yet. He was not sure about the heated grips though.
I would like to do the bars and new heated grips (something not as plain as the stocks grips) at the same time. Have been hearing horror stories of the cost for this at the stealer though. Ouch.

In order to do 14" you will need clutch and breaks cables as well as extending your wires. Your twist grip sensor will probably be fine but you will need everything else. 12" are fine with stock everything but you are at the MAX on both the cables and wires. If you have basic tools it's really not a difficult job and there is a really good step by step video on youtube

Just a tip, don't buy the wire extensions!! If you are doing them yourself, just splice in 6-8 inches of wire staggered through the harness (so that you don't end up with a huge bulge in the middle of the harness) and cover it back up with some heat shrink tubing. There are only 4 wires for the left switch pack and 5 for the right. Add 4 wires for the heated grips if you choose to upgrade grips.

I was told that as long as I stay 12" or less I didn't need to add anything, but goin 14 I think will be a problem. The heated grips, I was told to cut 3/8-1/2" off the left bar so the grip would be able to work. Let's see what others say...

Got any suggestions for the clutch and brake lines? I've found some for like $280-300, but I can't believe there aren't any cheaper... Thanks for the advice as well!

Sorry, no advice on the lines. I went with 12" and didn't need to replace them.
