I left the amber lenses on, and am running the CD halo ringz on mine; the turn signals are crisp and bright as hell while still remaining amber color.
So what was the point of having the Dynamic Rings then? Might as well order the solid amber clusters.
Hell, even on the Custom Dynamics website it says.... Our Dynamic Ringz are made with an outer ring of 24 white LEDs for an exceptionally bright cool white Driving Light . The inner ring contains 24 amber LEDs for an exceptionally bright Amber Turn Signal. Now here is the Dynamic part, when a turn signal is activated the White LEDs turn completely off for the entire turn signal cycle providing greater visibility to the Amber turn signal! At approximately 6000K these GenesisŽ II White LEDs will provide the same color as most HID kits and come with a Lifetime Warranty Against LED Failure. Our Dynamic Ringz must be used with a Clear or Smoked Lens (Sold Separately).
Cos I can still change the look if I want, or swap them to another bike later or whatever. I'm just offering an alternative; just because you buy the Ringz doesn't mean that you're required to change to smoked or clear lenses.
Picked up the led's today. I went with the smoked lens. Next is the headlight. I got a few places to look at. Thanks for all the replies.
If you dont want to spring for a daymaker. Check out the LED headlight bulb that Fuel Moto sells. I have 3 friends (softail, SG and 13 RGC) who have them now and they all like them a lot. The color is a great match to the CD lights and they are a lot brighter than the stock bulb.
