Always open unless it's raining. I definitely feel more wind whipping around my head with it closed.

I find I get a lot less turbulence with it opened. So it pretty much stays open. I just ordered a #93300054B windshield triple pouch. I hoping that it does not block off the venting, hence causing more turbulence on my face.

I leave mine open all of the time, unless the front wheel bearings are going out. Then I close it so I don't hear the wheel bearings as loud, lol.

Always closed as Ringer stated above.
Too much turbulence/helmet buffeting with it open.

I've never opened mine.

I guess I should try that next time.

I may be in the minority, but on my RGS I keep my two side vents closed, and the center vent open.

Here's what I have found on my bike for me personally with my specific windshield. The two side vents when open let more clean air come through, but I have found when open they also cause the bike to react more strongly to heavy winds and gusts. When they're closed, the bike seems to be more streamlined and handles better in heavy wind and gusts. So the side vents stay closed for the most part unless it's super hot and not very windy.

The center vent when open causes less turbulence to the helmet area, especially when there is a strong headwind - it seems to force the air up and over (or to the side of) my helmet area and all I get is calm clean air. Closing it in cold weather is fine also, it keeps cold air from hitting my face directly, but when closed it seems to allow air (not sure from where) to hit my helmet, causing a little more turbulence, but certainly not bad and nothing like buffeting. It's just cleaner air when the center vent is open, so it stays open for the most part. For me, the center vent seems to not make much of a difference when it rains, open or closed.
