I just put on a 5200048 earlier this week, after 40-50 miles it's proving to be more painful for me than the stock seat was. Feels great when I first sit on it as well for 20 miles or so. Looks good. Not sure if I can expect it to get better as far as break in? Others say it's very comfortable.

Bodacious, nice looker (bike), do you ever cross the bridge to the YOOP ?

Not the case for me just the opposite on the stock seat. I ride across the state with no issues maybe it's my seating position with the 10" bars? The stock seat was terrible in my opinion. Mine got even better over time stick it out.

I got the plain version of that seat, 52000249. Well it's not exactly plain, it has a pebble texture on certain parts to give it a look. If youre concerned about back rests, this seat matches all the tour pack and back rests perfectly. A buddy has the stitched version the OP ordered, it's all just personal preference on the top layer, the seats are the same.
Any updates on this seat? I am looking at purchasing one soon.
I'm not convinced it's totally the seats fault. I had similar problems with my Sporty's stock seat, changed to a Mustang Vintage solo and only noticed minimal improvements.
FWIW Harley's CVO solo seat #52000172 has a leather cover and I have seen it offered from a dealer a few days ago for $326 plus shipping. Had I know about that seat, I would have gone that route. Might be something I do over the winter. (scary to think about....but where I live we only have about 16+ weeks left of riding before cold and snow)
Good Luck!

I hear you, I did the same on my sporty and while the mustang was better it was only for a short ride. I did just have back surgery to repair a herniated disc that was pushing on my sciatic nerve. I am hopeful that will give me the relief I have really been needing. I think I am going to give this a try, I prefer the diamond pattern so I will probably go that route.
