lower fork replacement cost?

i am thinking of changing out the lowers to chrome ones but the project seems pretty big, so i am considering letting the dealer do it.

My dealer quoted me $300 to swap mine out plus a few bucks for seals and misc little stuff. I have a set being powder coated so I have the parts already for the swap.

It's a cake job; done it several times. Don't pay the dealer to do it.

It is, but it isn't. If you have a decent garage tool box & a jack, save the money and do it yourself. It's just nuts & bolts.

I went the exchange route with Sport Chrome for the lowers (bought bells & axle covers from Boardtracker) and installed Legend Axeo cartridges. Super happy with how it all turned out.
