So i finally get around to installing my cd fillerz lites. Easy as pie, no splicing of wires blah blah blah. Fire up the beast and run n turn work as advertised but no brake! WTF! Call to cd and their tech walks me thru some troubleshooting taking volt readings ect. Need to have the bcm flashed to add "brake" signal back onto "turn" circuit. Anybody here ever run into this? Hate to make a trip to the dealer and still have them not work.
Not sure what might be going on with your install....added these to my 14 EGC with no problems and Everything works as advertised...didn't have to flash anything. Gotta say these are one of the BEST additions I've ever put on a bike. Gave up adding chrome and now only make additions for comfort and safety....Can't see wasting my time polishing chrome!!!! I'd rather ride...be seen....and be comfortable!!!! Good luck on figuring out your braking issue....
'14 ultra classic. Cd tech said bike may have come from factory that way, wasn't supposed to but it happens. When I called the dealer they knew all about it, so it must happen from time to time. Just my luck. The install went fine, easy as pie. Unplug the connector plug their patch harness, plug in the lights and boom! You're done.
Had the BCM flashed all good now. I cannot believe how bright these are even in bright sunlight, cant wait to see them at night. I was in shop when the tech hit the brakes and i was blinded!
Did you have to trim the plastic chrome to have it fit between the fender and the bag and if so how? I was impressed enough with your frugal solution, I hit Cdn.Tire just before closing today and bought the last two. Any tips would be much appreciated. Thanks.
