Squeaky tour pack latch
Anyone else have a squeaky tour pack latch? I have a little over 4K miles and it squeaks worse than my 2014 did. I have tracked the squeak down to the latch but there is now way to tighten the latch.

That is why The MoCo put the counter balancer in the new M8, because they could not figure out how to keep these and other things from squeaking!
Glad I have not experinced that yet. Have 11k and all good so far. I hate squeaks.
Get the dealer to check it out I guess.

Silicone spray and a wipe-rag at the ready should do the trick...

Mine squeaked and I told Them about it at 5k service.They replaced it.New one is solid.I had duct tape under the latch on My 2014 to stop rattle.Looking at it,I wonder if the catch could be adjusted up ward.

When you undo the latch, you see two little torx screws by the cylinder. On mine, they were a little loose. Not much, but I could turn them just a little. That seemed to stop it. Even though I can take my finger and feel that there is something still loose behind the lock cylinder, it seems like it's supposed to be that way and I can no longer hear it when I ride.
