The real BIG question is 'Will Harley Davidson Corporate honor their recall, stand behind it and replace the bag?" Anyone have any dealings with them on this matter?

When my bag fell off, I called the corporate customer number from the website and explained what happened. I was nice about it, not an angry *******, but did tell her that I knew there was a recall on the bags, and not sure if it had been done since I bought the bike used. The rep took my information and gave me a case number, told me to go to any dealer with that number and I would “be taken care of” - her words. The next day at the dealer service department they made a phone call, took some pics of the damage, and a few minutes later told me a new bag and hardware was ordered, about a 6 week wait since it was a painted part. Replaced at no charge. I purchased my bike used, the bag recall had been done, I had put probably 5000 miles on it, and had taken the bags off multiple times for cleaning and changing mufflers. The service writer said they see a lot of them.

I have had mine hang on one pin. I bought those and use them. They will loosen from vibration so you got to check them every few months and make sure they are tight. They work well and also prevent bag theft.

I bought the RickRak Saddlebag bolts. Over priced but I like the look way batter than the plastic **** thing and I have no interest in using a wrench or allen to remove my bags. They are also low profile so not worried about my luggage bags either.

Just a follow-up:
I called the Mother Ship in Milwaukee and talked to a very nice and helpful young woman in customer service about the loss. She was gracious and listened attentively while I told her what happened. She told me I was not the 1st and unfortunately will probably not be the last.
She gave me a case # and told me to contact my local dealer. I did, they told me to bring it in, which I did yesterday, and within the hour they had looked at it, contacted corporate with their findings,
replaced the attachments with the new cam screws, ordered a new replacement bag and told me the same thing "You're not the 1st and probably won't be the last". Seems like it's in the '14-'15 line.
I have about a 6 weeks wait but I am one VERY happy owner. No charge for any of it and all involved were friendly and accommodating.
So if you have the old clips or even the recall ones, do yourself a favor and invest in the new cam-bolt setup. Piece of mind.....

This was true on the pre-Rushmore bikes. You could pop off the Dzus fasteners from the back of the rail they locked into....

They fixed that problem with the Rushmore bikes, no longer any access to the rear of the fasteners..... but, there was a problem, leading to a recall on the Dzus system with the '14 &'15 models.

The Dzus fasteners themselves are good, and time tested. If you have a Rushmore with the recall performed, other than possibly peace of mind, no real need to replace the Dzus fasteners...

I had the recall completed on my '14 Ultra and later the right bag fell off on a trip to Montana last year. I replaced the bag and the updated HD latching bolts. They are very well made and I feel certain they will not loosen and come off again, although I do check them fairly often and they are always tight.

New models Harley touring are now equipped with ratcheting type bolts (HD Part #90201540) and they cost around $50 but it's much better and a lot more secure.
