Default Saddlebag *****

Anybody ever have their saddlebags fall off? Are these a good idea?

Are you aware Harley had a recall for exactly that problem? Not sure what model years were affected. It did include my '14 Ultra; which was repaired and my saddlebags have not fallen off [yet].

2014-2015 Rushmore models had the recall for the saddlebags, not sure what year your bike is. That being said if you correctly attach the saddlebag to the bike it should not fall off, had my bags on/off numerous times and never fell off while riding.

I went with the new HD screw ins that they started using on the 2017. They are a little pricey at $45.00 but excellent quality. They look and work GREAT. Plus I figured the service techs would know what they are when in for service.

Bought a pair for my brother also for his 15 Limited as a birthday present.

Better safe than sorry. There are a lot of reports online that bags have fallen off with the old style clips and no side rails on the bikes any longer.

I use them. They're much more secure.
