"How did you set up the Boom Box to display "Elevation" & "Temperature" ?........I must have missed that."
The same way you put any information down in the corners of the screen. Toggle down there and hit "select". Check it out...LOTS of options.
I didn't even know it had that feature. 'Course, I never turn it on, either, so there's that...
Pooch, if ya wasn't so cranky, there is lots of cool stuff on these Harleys' you'd see. Now don't go all Postal on me, 'cause you know you're cranky...LOL...just stating fact and having a bit of fun at your expense. Have a great day!
First you have to enable those two lower fields in the NAV settings, then appearance. I keep the left lower at current time, then change the lower right field as desired. I also uncheck to show audio data and then enable next turn data, which shows as a field below the left and right lower fields.
Could somebody help me out here, while we're talking about NAV... When I'm navigating a route and listening to music, every so often, the music stops completely for about 5 seconds then it resumes. I believe this because the GPS is trying to 'read' me directions i.e. "In 500 yards, turn left on Granville Rd." etc. I have my prompt volume turned completely down, or off? and I have unchecked the 'audio info' field in the navigation options. I'm lost. .

You need to turn prompts off not just turn the volume down. Should be a setting for that.
Apparently, not enough room on the display for 5 digits.
I worked on some Wall Street Trading systems years ago; we had to redesign the user interface of many systems for 5 digit prices: first for Berkshire Hathaway's stock price (we simply stripped off the left digits) but then for, what we called "Dow 10,000." For that, where we could make room, we displayed the whole thing.
I suspect Boom changes AT and above 10,000' (as opposed to "above"...) As a programmer, we take that kind of nuance seriously.

A couple of years ago, I was watching my altitude on the BoomBox. When I went above 10,000 feet, the Boombox switched from measuring in feet to measuring in miles. It went from 9,999 feet to 1.8 miles as I passed 10,000 feet and continued to measure in miles until I descended below 10,000. Does anyone know if it is still doing this? Or has it been changed in an update?
i have a 2017 it flips to miles also in colorado this summer

I was in Pikes Peak area and didn't pay attention but it makes sense that it switches. For example, the distance to your next turn might be 2 miles and when you get to approximately 1 mile before the turn, it counts down in yards (e.g. 1600 yds).
Last year going over Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park coning back from Sturgis, mine did the same thing... it started showing elevation in miles. Took me a little bit to figure out what it was doing lol.

Go to setup / scroll down to Feedback settings. / Uncheck Nav Prompt.
There you can continue to navigate without the navigation interrupting the music.
