I can't wait for the day I have enough spare time to log that many miles. Good for you!

Thanks! Like most, I work full time and then some (on call every other week, 24x7 for those weeks). I am just fortunate that my tenure allows me 6 weeks of vacation (PTO) per year, and I use all opportunities to be on my bike off on some adventure. I do look forward to my retirement riding!

Now, I realize many on this forum wrench on their own bikes, and there are some dealerships with inept service personnel. However, while I can wrench on my own, time is not on my side. If I am not working, I am either busy riding, leading our HOG chapter, doing VFW or American Legion stuff and other volunteer things, so I rely on my local dealership's help in maintaining my bike. In my case, I feel a need to give a huge kudos, thanks and a tip of my hat to Cowboy Harley-Davidson of Austin. I have never had a negative experience with their service department, or any other department. They really know what they are doing. In fact, they told me about the PTT button move and I was able to post it before anyone else had because they are a service department that cares enough to let their customers know. Anyway, if you are ever in Austin, TX, and need service, they will take very good care of you. This comment has nothing to do with the fact that I am part of their HOG chapter. It is solely based on nearly 300k miles of service on three bikes they have done for me.

Thanks! If wear and tear is your concern, that's where ESP is helpful. But if you plan to trade in on newer I wouldn't wait. These bikes will go a long way as long as they are maintained!

I love it!! The first question I always ask is what kind of oil are you using, but I assume since you are having the dealer do the maintenance the are using HD oil.
