Question Reinforcer Wheel Question

Newbie here with a few questions. Been hanging out and reading the Rushmore board for sometime now.

I have a 16' RGS that I'm going to be putting into the shop for frontend work. One is to replace the factory 19 with the new 21" Reinforcer. My question is, how much stance will I need to take out of the frontend to compensate for the new 21" wheel to bring it back to level? Right now I'm thinking the Progressive 2" Lowering Kit will get the job done? I also took 1 3/8 " out of rear. Thoughts?

The 2" kit you mentioned has options to lower for 1" or 2", for a 21" wheel I think you want the 1" install option on that kit. I went down 1" when I did my 21" and like it.

I also ran it for a while with just installing the wheel with no noticeable difference but if you have the rear lowered you might.
I did slide the forks up in the tree about 3/4 inch and never had a issue. However I did wind up ordering the Progressive kit to lower it one inch. It will ride a little firmer but it takes the curves better I think.
And just for insurance I used the bump stops like they use on air suspension, I used 3 per side still leaving a little over 4" travel and never had a issue with the fender hitting....even when I hit that crater in the road riding two up lol. And I can say I dont think I ever hit the stops. Cheap insurance.
Dirty Air sells them.

Generally to keep the front end similar to stock with a 21" you want to lower it 1".

Thanks for your input. Is this a pic of your bike lowered? How much is out of the rear?
