I've got a 17 Road King with heated grips (from HD) and I was wondering if there is a power source in the neck/headlight area that is easy to get to? Wanting to charge a phone or GPS. Shouldn't need both at once.
On my RK, I ran one of these off the battery charging cable, then ran a USB cable up under the tank to the bars. It was an easy installation, mounted the unit with velco against frame above the starter. That way I would just disconnect the unit and plug my battery tender in while the bike is in the garage.

Removing a gas tank is a simple procedure. The fuel line is a quick disconnect. Pull the collar back and slip apart. When disconnected it has a check valve, so no leaks. It only dribbles a couple drops while removing. Easy, peasy
