Default Solid Red Light

I’ve searched the forum with mixed success in this now. Found suggestions of a burned out light but that does not seem to be the issue.

2015 Street Glide Special

I have a solid red light when the bike is on. It’s tbe same flashing light for the security system but it stays on solid now. My volume control and cruise control switch are not working now either. Before I take it to the dealer, I’m hoping to see if there was any other advice this group could offer me first.

Thanks in advance.

Solid red security light indicates you have a trouble code (DTC). Check for codes.

It's amazing how goofy the bike's instrumentation will respond with a flaky battery in the fob. If it's been a while since replacing the fob battery ..... try the simple things first.

Bwpkmp - who knows - you may be right. But I have to wonder if that has any effect on the vol control and cruise control.

I don't have any idea - but sounds closer to a left switch pack issue

You're right .... I'm just guessing also but anytime I run into something weird in the electrical I generally suspect a ground problem or battery. Those little 2032 (IIRC) batteries are cheap. Another thing you can try is to make sure your fobs are way out of range (or remove the battery) and manually punch in the bypass code and see if everything works fine.

If you don't know how. Press and hold trip button, turn on ignition, diag will appear in odometer. What code shows? You press trip quick and it goes through each system. You should have N behind each. If you get a Y that is where it is and press longer when on that one
