I had to put my '14 Limited in the shop. Luckily I've got the ESP. My infotainment system started doing very random things. It would shut off, stay off a few seconds and then reboot. Other times I might go the navigation screen and bring up the map and it might show the road and a white outline of the bike and nothing else. There was one time I went to the home screen and the tuner option was grayed out. I did a factory reset on it and that didn't fix it, it did it again on my next ride. It's been in the shop since Wednesday. I talked to them today and they said they checked to make sure all the updates were current and they were. They reinstalled all the updates to make sure nothing was corrupt. They haven't gotten it to mess up yet for them sitting in the shop. Hopefully they'll get it to mess up and go ahead and replace it. If they replace it the ESP will definitely pay off.
I have a 14 Limited too and my Boom has been flaky. Mine flakes very infrequently - once month or so. One time I was able to head to the dealership which is 40 minutes away from me and the damn thing started working when I got within 5 miles of the shop. My ESP is good through Feb 2019 so I have one more riding season to have it go bad.

Mine is good through August 2019. Hopefully it will mess up for them and they'll replace it.
I have not had that problem - but, like the two of you, I have a 2014 Ultra Limited Amber whisky/Black.
Bike is in the garage for the winter season but I get her back out around late April (hopefully). My ESP runs our in Sept 2020 (got bike in Sept 13) - total of 7 years.
Penmaker, make sure the dealer keeps your records. In case it acts up soon after your ESP expires, most will cover it if you can show that there was an ongoing issue
i had the same issues with my 2014 infotainment. All kinds of crazy stuff, would boot up, would shut off after being on, etc. - it all was fixed for me when I replaced my battery. Not sure if its the same as your issue, but... sharing my info.
