Default Straw Poll

Are there others besides myself who would rather the horn switch be where the trip odometer button is and vice-versa? For some reason my thumb just does not instinctively go to the horn in an emergency situation whereas my index finger would immediately grab it from the front.

I agree 100%, my thumb does not go to that position instinctively either. I even practice while driving down an open cage free road, trying to make it instinctive. Hasn't happened yet.

In an emergency situation going for the horn is low on my list of priorities. That gets hit once the real danger is over if it gets hit at all. A quick whack or two on the throttle is louder anyway.

For me, the trip odometer button is the easiest, most convenient, button to push out of all of them. But it's the least used out of all of them. Horn, or high beam flash would be much better used in that location.

to throw another log on the CB fire... the index finger button would be a GREAT place for the PTT button.

These were being advertised on the forum. They just had a recent free giveaway as well. Might interest the people looking for an easier way to use the horn.

I've never had a problem on any bike I've owned giving somebody a mighty blast of my turn signal. Lol. You'd think with all the advancement in technology they could make a loud horn activate when you yell "SHIIIIIIT".

I, as many of you, have almost been hit many times. For some odd reason, I never think about the horn in those near-miss situations. Luckily, a vast majority of time, I've already seen what was coming and I'm too involved in taking evasive action to toot the horn at the person trying to kill me. Afterwards, I almost always show my displeasure in one form or another.
