Do you think, since grease came out of the top and bottom, that when it gets hot out you'll have a big mess of grease running down onto your front fender and other places?
If it gets hot enough for grease come out, your bike is on fire...
How hot could those bearings get, they're only steering bearings doing an occasional 1/4-1/2 turn at a time, IF THAT because we do lean to steer most of the time. Not like the wheel bearings spinning 60-70 MPH over long periods of time...please correct me if my thinking is wrong!

Steering head bearings leak grease all the time. My buddy's '16 Fatboy leaks grease. All you have to do is search and you'll find beaucoup posts on the subject.

BE Careful riding behind this guy LOL
I think you will be just fine
The pre Rushmore bikes came factory equipped with zerk to grease the head bearings. It could be that because of so many people complaining about this is nasty may be why the moco took it away, after all they can charge you a lot
of money to tear it down and grease those bearings for you. There is grease out there that can be used that does not drip or run. I plan on putting a zerk on mine.
