Default Experimenting with pinstripe

Been looking at some of the awesome pinstripe mods done on the forum so I thought I would experiment. Not sold on this color, as it was the only one in stock at a local parts store. Just wanted to see if I could do it. It's actually pretty simple, especially using a hair dryer on the curves (tip compliments of forum member Womack!) This is 1/4" stripe that I applied over the stock 1/8" med. silver stripe. Now to decide on what color to go with.

Last year I was in a dealership in Loveland, Co. and they had some bikes on the floor with incredible pinstriping. I got talking to them about it and I guess there is a guy that travels around doing pinstriping old school. They are all applied freehand by brush. Every year they get him to come and do up a bunch of new bikes for them. Not sure what he charges, but wow did they look good. This one was green on black. Not a color I would have thought to try but I liked it.

I almost bought a moto guzzi once just for the paint work. It came with a sidecar and the guy had hand pinstriped with a brush both the bike and sidecar. Bike was not all that cool but that pinstripe was awesome. They only wanted $5K. I should have bought it

Pinstriping has ( somewhat ) fallen in favor and I can't understand why ... It's definitely a way of personalizing your ride and/or making a statement ... Around here there were several who were fabulous ... Paul Hatton and Dr. Rue come to mind. A little bit of "One Shot" and a blank canvas was all it took to create some unique designs.

Puddles, the 1/4” stripe really stands out nicely. I like that color too by the way, looks nice without being too “loud”.

Thanks! I can take or leave the red. I do like the wider stripe. I'm going to experiment with some other colors and even a carbon fiber stripe in white and silver. Nice thing is I can put it on and take it off until I find what I really like.

I went with a medium charcoal gray metallic.
