I need to lower my bike about an inch, and the wife would like a little better cushion under her.
On my old bike I had a Mustang wide touring seat and it did both.
Does anyone here have a Mustang seat on their Ultra Classic and can you tell me how it is compared to stock?
Considering shocks as well but would like to start with the seat.
My wife is going thru this right now also. Has a 15 street glide which we lowered with a burley slammer kit that got her flat footed. Problem was it rode like a hard tail so we went to ohlins which moved her up an inch but bike rides greatl
She has the limited low seat which moves her foward and down but is very uncomfortable after 30 min.
Just tried a mustang low down solo and that seat is hard and irritates her thighs when her feet are down. Sending it back.
Any seat that lowers the rider is going to sacrifice comfort. Depending on how much you need to lower yourself I would suggest calling Howard at motorcycle metal. At right around 500 bucks your ride comfort will be greatly improved and it may get you low enough to where any quality seat Mustang included will offer the comfort your both looking for.
I have the Mustang Vintage touring seat love it and lower me slightly, I also put on the Progressive 944's and they made a big difference in the ride and lowered me at least an inch my Wife finds the seat much more comfortable and I also got the Mustang back rest for her..
